Above is a side by side comparison of the rough breakdown to the finished artwork for the first Arms and Ether comic. This shows just how rough
a rough can be and yet how closely the rough dictates the finished artwork. The idea is to get the essential storytelling visuals in the rough. Details will be added much later. Note too, how I roughly jot in the text to get an idea of the space it will take up in the final piece. It is usually a big mistake to draw panels without regard to where the lettering will ultimately go.
